Jacobean Style Desk
ca. 1925
The Jacobean style gate leg desk, with spiral turned legs, serpentine stretchers, and drop front gets its name because two front legs swing out to support the writing surface when it is folded down. The desk is made from oak and several other woods and features delicate inlays of wood, ivory, and mother-of-pearl.
