Sterling Furniture Co.
1926 - 1934
Manufacturer of occasional tables and small case pieces including table desks, wall desks, bookcases, cabinets and spinet desks, and novelties such as golf tees and chess pieces. In 1928 they introduced a Queen Anne Revival-style "secretary-desk" based on early upright piano designs, and designed by Webster E. Janssen. Its 58-note keyboard slid into place for music, or could be hidden in exchange for a writing surface. The case featured the drawer and bookcases of a secretary, as well as strings, sounding board, and even a player-piano mechanism.Full Details
