Furniture Manufacturers Ribbon

1889

The ivory colored ribbon, celebrating the first furniture manufacturers' convention, was presented with the compliments of the Grand Rapids Board of Trade, which would later become the Chamber of Commerce. It names the dates of the convention, January 29 and 30, 1889. The small print in the middle of the ribbon details facts about Grand Rapids such as the population, the railroads, churches, factories, etc. The gold seal at the borrom reads Grand Rapids Board of Trade around the edge.
