Lawrence Mailloux received his Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design in 1947. He may have been a member of the Grand Rapids Furniture Designers' Association due to his connection with Kendall College of Art & Design. He was president of the college from 1952 until 1975.
