Charles T. Graham

Charles Graham, born in 1880, started the furniture designing night school course at the Y.M.C.A. from 1900 to 1905. He designed for Rex-Robinson Furn. Co., and was chief designer for the Retting Furniture Company, which made some very expensive lodge furniture as well as period styles in living room furniture. Charles Witman, treasurer of the Grand Rapids Furniture Designers’ Assoc. from 1943-1958, was one of Graham’s pupils and later worked with him for two years at the Retting Company. Mr. Graham died in Lenore, North Carolina in 1959.
