Early Furniture Designers Collection

Berkey & Gay, Nelson, Matter, and Phoenix furniture companies were employing furniture designers as early as 1877-1879. One of the more famous names was David Wolcott Kendall who arrived at the Phoenix Company in 1879. Charles Radcliffe began at Nelson, Matter in 1877.
